A light aircraft with two people on board has crashed into a field in Nottinghamshire close to the M1 motorway.
The aircraft came down at about 13:30 BST between junctions 26 and 27 of the motorway, Nottinghamshire Police said.A force spokeswoman confirmed there were two casualties and an investigation has begun.
Police, fire and ambulance services are all at the scene just off the southbound carriageway.
One lane remains closed on the M1 southbound.
